ALLENSTOWN — The Allenstown and Bow police departments will co-host a 12-hour R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) Basic Physical Defense Program on Oct. 30 and Nov. 1, 6 and 8, 6 to 9 p.m., at the Allenstown Elementary School, 30 Main St.
The R.A.D. system is a program designed to offer realistic tactics, techniques and training designed for women. Students will learn awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance techniques.
R.A.D. also teaches the basics of hands-on defense training. The program is for ages 13 and older.
Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration is required. The class is free.
Participants must commit to all training dates to benefit from this intensive program.
