Pembroke School Board
The Pembroke School Board has five members elected for a three year term. The chair is elected annually by the members.
Board meetings are generally held 6:30 P.M. on the second and fourth Tuesday’s of the month. Meetings alternate between all four schools. Scheduled meetings are subject to change without notice.
One member of the board is elected annually to serve on the SAU Executive Board while all members belong to the full SAU board. Executive Board traditionally meets once a month while the Full Board meets twice a year.
Pembroke Hill and Village Project Committee Members Needed
Volunteers Needed for the Pembroke Hill and Village Project Committee
The Pembroke School Board will be forming a committee to discuss options for the future of the Pembroke Hill School and the Pembroke Village School. Options to be considered are renovations to the buildings or an addition to Hill School to combine the two schools.
The Board is looking for committee members to fill the following roles:
- Board member
- Parents from Hill and Village Schools
- Teacher from each school (Pembroke residents)
- Engineer/Architect in the community (or expertise in the field)
- Fire and Rescue
- Public Works
- Planning Board
- Member of the MBC
- Community members
- PR Representative
- Health Officer

The Board would like to have this committee established by December 1, 2017.
Bicentennial Committee Members Needed
COMMITTEE MEMBERS NEEDED TO SUPPORT PA’s BICENTENNIAL
Pembroke, NH – Pembroke Academy (PA) will mark its 200th year in the fall of 2018/spring of 2019 and is looking for people to assist with planning its Bicentennial Celebration.
A Pembroke Academy Bicentennial Committee has been established to help guide the festivities and is looking for new members. “We are looking for committed community members and alumni from throughout the SAU towns who want to help shape the year-long commemoration of our school,” said PA Headmaster Paul Famulari. The celebration includes a goal of raising funds for comprehensive renovations to the existing auditorium to create a true performing arts center.
Four subcommittees have been identified: planning, fundraising, communication and celebration. The committee is also looking or an overall chairperson.
At this time, the plan is for the committee to meet one time per month, with subcommittee meetings established as needed. Discussions to date have included having the meetings held at different venues throughout the SAU #53 communities. The next meeting of the committee is scheduled for Thursday, February 4th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Pembroke Academy library.
“We have so much to celebrate and really would like a variety of people to participate in the planning to ensure its success,” said Famulari.
